The Big Guava has a new way to buy a car that’s always sweet, and never sour. Carvana proudly introduces its newest fully-automated, coin-operated eight-story Car Vending Machine, now serving the good citizens of Tampa!
After opening our Tampa market in April of 2016, the wait for the second Carvana Car Vending Machine to appear in the state of Florida is finally over, as Tampa will serve as our eighth Car Vending Machine location to date – joining Nashville, San Antonio, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Raleigh, and Jacksonville.
Over 3 million potential Carvana customers living in the Tampa metro area will now be treated to the same state-of-the-art design and functionality that was established as our new standard beginning with the launch of our Nashville Car Vending Machine in November of 2015. Like our Car Vending Machines in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Jacksonville, the new Tampa Car Vending Machine also stands eight stories tall and is complete with four delivery bays. Similar to Jacksonville, our new Tampa location will also feature a new coin receptacle, which lights up and activates the vending process when the customer’s customized coin is inserted. With the customer looking on, the Vending Machine then retrieves the car from the Tower and places it on a track, which then moves the car through the machine until it reaches the designated delivery bay. The bay then opens and the customer is invited in to begin their 7-day test-own period with their vehicle. Additionally, the new location will have brand new solar tubes that will appear in the vehicle corridor, adding even more natural light to the space.
