The Carvana Carpool Referral Program personifies our efforts in giving back to the communities we serve, as the program enables Carvana customers to come together to raise money for individuals and families that could use a helping hand. Specifically, for every referred friend who purchases a vehicle with Carvana, Carvana contributes funds that go toward the donation of a vehicle to a deserving member of the local community. With that, we’re proud to announce that our latest Carvana Carpool Referral Program vehicle donation recipient is Korian Hannah of Miami. Known throughout his community as a hard-working, family man, Korian was nominated for the Carvana Carpool Referral Program by his brother, Avery, who recently purchased a car from Carvana. A hairstylist by day and musician by night, Korian recently sold his vehicle to help support his family when his wife was unable to work after suffering injuries in a car accident. Since then, he has had to rely on friends and loved ones for transportation for himself and his family.

However, those days are officially in the past.

In August, with a little help from Korian’s family, friends, and coworkers, Carvana surprised Korian by presenting him with a 2015 Honda Odyssey with registration, taxes, and insurance already paid for. The Carvana team also loaded up the minivan with snacks and school supplies for Korian’s children to ensure they were ready to head into a new school year. This is the second giveaway made possible by the Carvana Carpool Referral Program, which surprised Atlanta-area elementary school employee Vadel Gray with a Mazda 3 for the inaugural giveaway.

Surprising Korian and his family with a vehicle and back-to-school supplies was a moment we won’t soon forget, and we hope that the Hannahs’ Honda Odyssey goes a long way toward getting them where they need to be!
